Expressing her felicitations on her father’s birthday, which falls on Tuesday, June 13, Bimbo, the winner of the prestigious award for Best Actress in a Comedy Film at the AMVCA, took to social media to compose an extensive message.
She explains how her father has consistently been her trusted confidant, both during her formative years and in adulthood. In her heartfelt message, Bimbo eloquently portrayed how her father imparted remarkable qualities and a compassionate perspective on life to her and her siblings.
The esteemed Anikulapo actress affectionately referred to her father as a “selfless superhero,” her closest confidant, and a trusted ally.
Accompanying her sentiments, she shared a captivating video compilation featuring cherished moments of their shared experiences throughout various stages of their lives. Bimbo Ademoye expressed:
“An egoless champion, a rare find indeed. If it were possible, I would pause time itself to honor and celebrate you. You are my embodiment of Superman, Spider-Man, and Batman combined.
I reminisce about my childhood, when my friends would recount how they hurriedly retreated to their rooms upon their fathers’ return from work, promptly switching off the television.
I couldn’t relate because I, with my siblings, always stood eagerly by the window, eagerly waiting for our father’s car to approach from the junction, so we could rush and embrace him with sheer delight.”
Last month, I encountered a difficult situation that left me feeling trapped. Seeking assistance, I reached out to my father, who promptly abandoned his current engagements to provide aid.
After resolving the issue, he called back to ensure everything was in order, to which I reassured him, saying, “I’m completely fine, Daddy.” In response, he stated, “Alright, I’ll remain available just in case you require my assistance again.”
Even at my advanced age, he remains the person I turn to for guidance. Throughout my life, my father has consistently portrayed himself as an exceptionally calm and composed individual, except when it concerns the well-being of his children.
On one occasion, he boldly declared, “You can do as you wish to me, and I will endure it. However, dare to harm my children, and you will witness a side of me that remains unseen until provoked.”
I mean, who else raises four children and adopts an additional nine? The tales about this exceptional Superman could fill an entire book. The wellspring of my inner strength originates from you.
